Wassaic Project Artist Residency and Haunted Mill by Nathan Margoni

I was lucky to be in Wassaic, NY for the last 2 weeks, working on a cutout painting of my face merging into my face merging into my face.  This painting served as the entrance to a room with a squeaky toy floor, which was as loud and annoying as you would expect.  The finished project was installed in an old grain mill-turned-haunted house and open to the public for a community Holloween party/exhibition.

This was my personal pig pen studio space.  Loved it.

Early pic of the painting in-progress.  The faces are based on photographs taken of myself.  I had to play with the proportions quite a bit to make each face merge into the other.
